Summary:
The VR film RAPTURE II - PORTAL explores the concept of a lost physical home and juxtaposes it with the body of a dancer as an eternal home. This film is structured as a hypnosis session, where the viewer is guided through Marko's apartment, now merged with real 3D scans of currently destroyed Ukrainian architecture. The Vogue dance elements are presented as a powerful juxtaposition of the human body’s strength in dance against its vulnerability in the face of war technology.
RAPTURE II is part of the multimedia diptych RAPTURE, consisting of the short film RAPTURE I - VISIT and the VR 360 film RAPTURE II - PORTAL. Each work can stand alone or be viewed together as a complementary diptych, with each part mirroring the other.
